Goodbye Indy...

We took the team off of the course for a much needed break. One of George's customers, Scott Brooks, invited us in to his home for showers, sleep, an amazing home cooked meal and massages for the guys. What a treat! We're a clean bunch now and we're rolling right when we anticipated that we would. Unfortunately George didn't get much sleep and he has a headache, but after his 54 miler, Rick will take a long pull and George should be able to sleep some more. Right now, we're going north for another three miles and once we turn east again, he will welcome the tailwind he was enjoying a few minutes ago.

Thanks to Scott and his family and friends for the hospitality. We truly appreciate it!

Additional thanks to the people of Illinois and Indiana. We have had more people here cheering the boys on, and it is so encouraging to them!

Rick and George,

I can't tell you how proud I am of you both pushing through the pain to attain you dream. You are part of an elite group. Do the Navy Seals have a cycling division? Everyone is so excited for you.

Rick, your Mom and Dad were so excited to get to give you a hug for a second in Mo. They sat in a gas station on the side of the road for over two hours waiting for you guys. I hope the crew enjoyed the food they brought.

Big smooches to you and grateful hugs to George,Brandy and your wonderful crew.

Hi Rick it's mom not Terry. I can't get my blogger to work so Terry said to use hers.
You have been training for this all your life, since you got your 1st bike shop & raced mountain bikes. Now you are being able to live out your dream of riding across America.
What a job you're doing! You have your crew are awesome! We wish we could be there with Terry to congradulate you! So glad she is able to be there.

Love you,
Mom & Dad
